Bedside Table Model

For this project the task was to study the functions, attributes, and surrounding activities that go into a bedside table. Due to time constraints, we were only able to build a half-scale model but once I gather the proper materials I plan on building a modified version of this model. The material used in these pictures is laminated foam core. The full height of the table would be 22".
Included are some sketch ideations.

Cardboard Stepping Stool

The assignment here was to design a stool made of corrugated cardboard capable (80% of materials) of supporting a person's weight. I went beyond that and created a dual-leveled stepping stool able to support 300lbs.

Each crossbar/support consists of 13 sheets of 3/8" corrugated cardboard laminated together and shaped by bandsaw or jigsaw. The stool's height is 19".

Cardboard Light Bulb Container

The purpose of this assignment was to design a light bulb container capable of supporting and protecting 3 fluorescent bulbs. Simple fiberboard cardboard was the primary material of this container.

Included are all prototypes and iterations used to generate the final prototype.

The Beginning

This is but my first post. All following posts will contain my own sketches, drawings, designs, as well as artwork that interests or influences my own.

Magic will ensue.
