'Kiel' Teakettle

3/4 View of the Front 'Prow'

This is my final 'Looks-like' model of the teakettle. I ran out of time to design an adequate lid but still feel quite good about this design; too much time was spent learning metalworking skills.

The design was inspired by serving pitchers, coffee pitchers, and sailing vessels--thus explains the 'Kiel' name (German spelling). My focus was that of comfort, control, and accessibility; comfort in the grip of the handle, control in the pouring action of the 'pitcher' spout, and accessibility in regards to an enlarged lid to allow for simplified refilling.
